The Club was originally founded on the basis that Hong Kong was such a busy and hectic lifestyle, many of the founders were rarely able to meet as wives and company business usually took priority. Setting the meeting dates in stone, formulating strict rules of engagement negated any complaints.

Since members usually have such frenetic work and family schedules, an Asia Circle dinner offers the opportunity to catch up with old friends, meet new acquaintances, create potential business partners and, to just have a fun night out in an elegant and sophisticated dining establishment with the potential of listening to a guest speaker hold forth.

The creation of the Club was founded to also support member’s charities through a year-end Christmas ball which profits are gifted to selected charities plus any fines levied upon members failing to follow protocol during any dinner or Asia Circle meeting.

Past Hong Kong and Singapore Balls have become celebrated yuletide events.
